Qi-fense is a company I have formed with the help of my husband, Sebastian Holst, to fight Internet phishing and offer brand monitoring services. We have secured the rights to monitor very large streams of email traffic (averaging roughly 15 million emails per day) to provide early warnings of phishing scams and tracking of the use of brands, marks, public figures, etc.
At an abstract level, we are using the force of others email blasts against those who would do harm and strengthening the very organizations that are the intended targets. Therein lies the "qi" reference - we are redirecting email flow - sort of an Internet tai qi or even a vinyasa.
